PeterJStein Sings: MY MUSIC CLIPS

I Wish That You Never Had Gone

(pjsteinsongs: Peter J Stein)
January 22, 2010
Peter J Stein

This song was born, as often happens, while I was struggling with a less novel song, and this one took full bloom within 3 days and nights.  Remarkably, within that three days, I found myself in Mike Eusanio's basement, in a perfect home recording studio, with audio engineer, Jesse Schubert, at the controls.  After a few awkward moments, and a couple of necessary mis-starts, the tape rolled, and Jesse somehow mixed and completed guitar and vocal tracks (including a whistle track in the intro!). A personal Folkstein ballad has been delivered, with an APGAR score of 10!  There are some fixes needed here and there, and possibly more instruments to be weaved in; but within this short time, here are 2 clips of a raw version of a song that tells the story of a broken-hearted six year-old boy.  Life's pain and disappointments start early, and I thank heaven that Mike has resumed the work that he loves, that, in turn, allows me to recapture and express an avenue of lost love.....................pjstein
