just felt this song coming, and i had to get out of the way, to let it be born

it was back in brooklyn, in 1955, when my brother taught me the E chord, and i played hound dog; so its sixty years gone, and i'm still trying to find just the right rhythm and and melody, to get me back on the track of unreflective playing and singing, just trying to reach inside, and find it.

The Appeal

This ballad represents the continued unfolding of my musical ideas, lamenting love and loss, and emerging as a convergence of emotions within a digital and acoustic palette of colors, tones, and rhythms.

The only way to know about my style of music is to listen to the clip, and decide if it moves you. No one knows what you are looking for, or what will influence your deep feelings. If you hear sadness in my songs, and the futility of life, in its transience, resonates within you, then you might feel something of importance in what I am trying to convey, which are attempts to describe the essence of what life's experiences represent, so easily trivialized with words.
